Early model WRX...disappointment
Came upon a riced out WRX yesterday...I was reluctant to get next to him so I stayed behind as we got onto the interstate. He obviously saw me in the rear view and took off down the on ramp...I took off in second...being careful not to get sideways. I saw his exhaust blow out some smoke and wsa thinking "this is all he's got?" Not only did I stay on his bumper on a 35 mph onramp doing 55-60 but I pulled on him well once we hit the interstate. He stayed waayyy back after that. Now granted, I am nothing special...all stock (engine performance wise) convertible except for my new k&n panel and of course no AC/smog.
I cannot wait to get my ARR 185's and Edelbrock upper/lower.

im guessing it was just a regular wrx then ?? theyre only good for launching, unless the drivers afraid to break something. theyre only 227hp. not THAT much. a Fox-body will tear him up after @ 2nd gear. nice win.
+1, not to mention that AWD drivetrain doesn't do well for the weight either... from a dig they're much more formiddable. Once they're moving, it's a whole nother story.
