stanger88... your comments are getting old. just because you can't get your car to run right and muster anything better than a mid 14 out of it, doesn't mean you have to talk down the 5.0... i ran better times when my car was stock than what you run now. i trap 101mph with nothing but full exhaust and a CAI, last time i checked, a stock LT1 won't trap over a 100+mph. you obviously don't know what the heck you're doing. may i suggest getting another hobby ? ...like collecting stamps or maybe making fart noises with your arm pitts ? perhaps you'd have more success at that.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Perhapse you are right. Ever since I sold my Trans Am my luck iwth cars has been ****. Even when I have people like Dennis, who has been on the mustang scene for 20+ years build me a motor (if you dont know who Dennis is, then perhapse you should read up a bit, maybe follow the mustang aftermarket some) it still runs like ***. Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords gave my crate motor rave reviews, etc. etc. so I really guess you should STFU about blaming ME for THEIR failure. I dunno, maybe my car is a lemon. Maybe Those guys dont know their head from a hole in the ground, who knows. The point is, and I will agree with you, this motor isnt worth a ****. Central Coast Mustang has been building motors for over 25 years until they went out 1 year ago. I wish they were still around, would love to send them their ****box back.

Oh, for the record, my LT1 A4 with 2.73's roasted every 5.0 I ever ran. My friend had an 89 LX with a 5-speed, 3.73's, full exhaust. CAI, pullies and even little races from 20-60 and the like burned him. PS, he had the driver mod as well.

Well, What I know is I think the Mustang GT 1999-2004 has 260 HP and 302 LBS 4.6 Liter 281 CI, the Camaro Z28 from 1993-1997 has 275 HP and 325 LBS 5.7 Liter 350 CI...Mustang GT has 5 speed and Z28 has 6 speed...Thats the older camaro's, the 1998-2002 camaro's are just wow, LS1 with the SLP package rates at 345 HP with over 340 LBS Torque [sm=jawdrop.gif]

Thats insane, I dont know if you were talking about the 05-06 GT's or the 99-04, but Camaro's are monsters stock, Ive driven/seen/listened all of it....Thats the camaro, Wonder what the Corvette LS6 would do lol...I havent dealed with any mustangs except for the GT 5 speed I test drove...Not bad, but both cars and fun and fast!
John

I can see you're kinda new, but check out the LS1 thread at the top of the street/strip section, that'll explain a lot. The SLP package is nothing....all LS1's will dyno around 295-315rwhp stock, that's around 350-360hp at the crank.

This is more of an encounter since no one actually raced, I met a guy at autozone tonight w/ a built 94 z28, not sure exactly of the mods, except for a 150 shot of nitrous. He said it dynoed at just over 350 rwhp on motor so you can imagine how insane it is w/ the spray. Anyway, we cruised up and down a main street in town a little, and that thing will flat haul a$$. The nitrous was empty so I didn't get to feel the spray, but basically he could be sideways at any time in the first 3 gears. I can't even imagine what a 500 hp camaro would feel like on the street, probably zero traction. I'm gonna get another ride when he gets the bottle filled up again so hopefully that'll be soon. Anybody have any idea what a 350 rwhp z28 would do in the 1/4 mile w/ drag radials and stock 3.42 gears. You Chevy guys correct me if 3.42's don't sound correct stock.
How about a 500rwhp TA? [8D] It's not so bad really.

I guess 98LS1 knows exactly what I'm talking about, except w/ 40 more rwhp. You're now my new idol. I love mustangs, but I got a whole new respect for the Camaro's last night. By the way, this guy says his best trap in the 1/8 mile is 88 mph, which translates to stupid fast in the 1/4. If you wouldn't mind sharing, what are your trap speeds 98LS1, 1/8 or 1/4 mile tracks, whatever you've run?

i don't have to STFU about anything my friend, that's the beauty of it. you go around making ignorant statements about H/C/I + full bolt-on 5.0s with suspension mods not being able to trap better than 100mph and run better than a low 14, wishing you would've bought an RSX cause it "has so much more potential than your 5.0" or kept that "sweet *** LT1 cause it was sooo fast and pulled sooo much poon"... all this nonesense and to top it off you're blaming a magazine that your car is running like crap... and you want me to STFU? puh-leeze![&:] you can't get your car to run right, that's fine, no need in generalizing all of them in your misfortune.
