What in the hell are you driving and getting low to mid 12's out of a trap speed of 107??? You have to be smoking crack. There is no way buddy. 107 mph will finish out to be like mid 13's if any thing.

I am really trying not to start crap, but heres the thing. If I say something quote a time or performance number, I KNOW it to be true, because I either did it,had a hand in doing it, or was there when it was done. I am not an a magazine/keyboard/internet racer. I really enjoy helping people make their cars run better/faster, but I don't like being told somthing I did was B.S. Again I have nothing agaist you or anyone else here, but if people don't want to learn from those with more experence than fine, it really is no skin off my back.

Well like I said, im sorry and all. After that post me and MD talked about the speed and different things that can happen to make a better time at a lower speed. I apoligize. I was speaking out of my own personal experiences. I realized I was wrong after I ran a 14.1 at 96 mph and then a sooped up bug ran a 13.3 at 98mph. I couldnt believe he did that. I was like "thats only 2 mph faster than me and he was almost a whole second quicker" and all my buddies were laughing at me. I guess it all comes down to the 60 ft and traction.

 

It's cool, and you are right it is all about traction/60 foot and seat time also.Thats funny about the VW, I 'll have to watch out for those.

 

Low speeds and quick times also have to do with tranny set up and power bands of vehicles. I smoked a lighting a month or two ago. Im sure a few of ya remember the thread. Grats on yer kill. They do sound pretty nice huh?

 

Its funny as hell to see it run but its probably the fastest Ive ever seen one go and I believe its street legal.

And your right, brokstang... there is nothing like the sound of a S/C winding up! I cant wait to make my car sound like that!

2000si, .4 seconds isn't really that much so it's definetely possible that he beat him... he probably exagerated a bit but I don't think he needs to provide time slips and dyno numbers to prove that he won. There have been GTs that have touched 13.9. Some magazines I've seen claim to have run 13.8 in a GT... this is really a drivers race. He won but not by
3-4 cars unless the lightning driver had his head up his ***.

 

Yeah, I hear yaa...I beat a Z28 a few months ago..light to light. came in hear and bragged about it. And was basicly told by LT1 that it was BULL$HIT ( the man always defends maros as if he bolted them together himself). The fact is I did beat a Z28 and only because this fool could not drive it ( too much car for him I guess).
And just because you might have a car thats a secound faster then mine dont mean you can drive it a second faster then mine ( PERIOD)

 

ohhh man lots of testosterone lol. havent seen this thread for awhile kinda went outta controll lol. like the guy said above me when cars are as close as .5 or so in times its a drivers race. i mean does everyone ever get the same exact time when at the tack? i mean even if that lightning is rated at a 13.8 and the other guys car at a 14.0 dosent mean the 14.0 couldnt win that race. just cause a car has more power than the other dosent mean all the time they are gonna win. that might sound stupid but its true and we all know it. when i used to have my 90 formula 350 me and a friend used to joke around all the time and say u wanna race ha ha ha. he drove a 90 300 zx and i had more power than him but he was a better driver than me at the time and he would beat me all the time. then when i learned how to drive my car i would smoke him all the time and laugh. he would go what the hell did u do. i said i learned how to drive lol. any way everyone help each other and try not to get to pissed off ok. lol see ya.
