Which do you prefer?

A dig is the best way to tell if the car and driver are set up right. Roll races don't really count in my book, sure they are fun kinda, but they don't really prove anything.

I could go either way. A dig is more fun but not everyone wants to dump the clutch at a street light and it seems most races I get in are froma roll. I also agree with C6 VETTE regarding tires. [:@]

GP.........your uncle sounds like he was the man !!!!
now, back to the question though. for me, from a stop. i think its more of a rush than doing a roll race. but a roll from like 10/15 from a light is also fun. i just prefer the dig. like you said, it takes driver skill, and a lot of times can be won from the holeshot.

I prefer a roll myself. IRS in dig races can be unforgiving (wheel hop) and expensive to repair. Not to say that I don't do it it's just I don't make it a habit . Consistantly always doing dig races will have me spending $2000. on four Goodyear Supercar Runflats sooner rather than later.
Yeah O.K I sound like a cheap skate. lol

But anyway I like the dig races cause I usually race cars with less TQ than me...But If I do do a roll 35 40 is perfect
Fortunately for him, I'm sure his C6 gets decent mileage. Most Vette owners I know get better gas mileage on the highway than most Stangs.
As for tires, challenge yourself to not spin when launching. It can be hard, but the launches are a lot more fun...[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
