I find that hard to believe. Not that your lying, but the other person must not know how to drive. I had an 03 5.3 Silverado reg cab 2wd before I had the stang. I would absolutely mop the floor with a trailblazer (not an SS).

One time (at band camp) I had to take my truck in to get fixed and was given a regular 6cyl trailblazer as a loaner. That thing was so f'n slow even my wife commented on it! Seriously that had to be one of the slowest vehicles I've ever driven~!

Stock I ran a 15.4 in the 1/4 mile in my truck. There is no way that SUV ran faster than that!

Then again you did say it was a Z71 you raced. Z71's are heavier being 4wd and all. Still a longshot if you ask me.

 

i had a guy come up to me with friends that wanted to play. he had his friends in the car. but there was to many cars. he got on it by me im pretty sure he had some mods sounded pretty good. easy to say i would prolly killed him. dident seem that fast when he was next to me

 

I know this topic is a mouldy old fossil but, nice post. I remember those things like it was yesterday. They were (and are if you can find one!) baddass machines. Same goes for the 1990 Anniversary Turbo T/A. All those rides with that turbo 6 were ferocious and with what we call simple bolt-on's they were supercar killers 0-100mph and would rape the Cayenne TT, TB SS, and Hemi Jeep. That is neither here no there, all I know is that I would give an SS TB driver a ride in my notch, win, lose, or draw. The fight is the juice for me...

 

It must suck to get 12 MPG though. If your at the track you could probably watch your needle drop.

i raced an ss and a srt8 jeep at the same time before i had the headers, i pulled the ss and the srt8 pulled me. the srt8 is way more impressive.
