I know this isnt the correct section for this, but this is where me and the other guys i talk to do almost all of our hanging out, so i figured i would post this here to see what they think.

I am thinking of trading in the 01 T/A WS6 for this 02 Corvette ZO6 I found. It has 34,000 miles, is Electron Blue, and they are asking $28,000 for it. To me this sounds like a hell of a good deal on an amazing car. No its no 06 ZO6, but what is. So what do you guys think? How does my new name 02ZOSicc sound.

 

$28,000 is an awsome deal for a Z06 Corvette. You will smoke just about everything commonly seen on the streets with that. I traded mine in a few months ago. They are great cars. And besides all that, where else are you gonna find a $28,000 low 12sec car with low milage. HURRY UP AND BUY!!!! BEFORE SOMEONE SEE"S IT!!!!

 

I was thinking the same thing. I like that i also would start out with a car that i am not upside down on. So if i wanted to upgrade in 6 months or so. I would be ahead of the game instead of still paying off the trade in car. This way too i dont have to worry about any of these guys with the 05 stangs thinking there bolt-on car can run with me.

 

They won't be able to play with you without a Power adder. The Corvettes hold their Value pretty well. So when you decide to upgrade,(upgrade to what?) your car will still be worth some $$$. Besides that I've seen horrible drivers manage 12.6 in the C5 Z06 so if you know what your doingm you should be able to keep it in the low 12's.

I think ill be seeing low 12's in it after my 2nd or 3rd track visit. Yeah to hold there value really well. This same ZO6 should be selling for about $34k i figure. So i when i decide to upgrade to an 07 or 08 ZO6 or a new Camaro, i wont be going upside down. The thought of that is one thing that is really driving me towards getting it.

 

What do you think your T/A's worth? The z06 won't be a whole lot faster than your T/A, but it will outbrake and outhandle it a good amount. That alone would be reason to get it.

 

I am hoping i can get $17k for it on a trade-in. But i highly doubt it, they will probably try to offer me around $14k or so, which could be a deal breaker because i still owe $17k on it. I might post on LS1tech and try and sell it private party.

 

If best run so far is 13.1 and his driving skills are good I see low 12's................and yes that is alot faster than his Camaro. Don't let this deal pass you by Pewter!!!!!!

 

That Z06 would put atleast 5-6 cars on that T/A in the 1/4mi easy. A buddy of mine has a 349rwhp Formula with 4:10's his car runs 12.2-3's @ 112-113mph, and when I was stock I could easily put 3 cars on him in a 1/4mi. Now its not even close as far as handling goes its a whole other league.

 

For some reason, I was thinking that you were looking at an 01 Zo6, the 385 hp version. Yeah, it will be decently faster than your car now, but not light years faster. That isn't the reason you would buy this car. You buy it for the brakes and handling.
