The mustang is a nice car. For the money, it is very good. I have given them props on this forum as well for anyone who cares to look. MY ONLY PROBLEM is when someone claims that their mustang took out a car it could not possibly have beaten and then refusing to admit that the only way they could have won was driver error.

THAT is my entire issue. The mods in this forum really do not call BS or set anyone straight in that respect and I get tired of seeing people say "yeah, my 20K mustang sure handed it to that 80K "whatever" back in the twisties/straightaway" when we all know that that "whatever" must have been bogging in OD to have lost.

For the record, I dont like the way the mustang handles stock (pre 05 and not considering SVT models). I think ford dropped the ball when competing with the LT1/LS1. Further more, I think these shortcomings can be corrected with a few mods in most cases (more than a few when comparing a 94' to a 01 SS, but you get the idea). That is just the facts, if you care to dispute them, im down for it. Just show me some evidence that isnt biased and I will re-consider my stance on it.

I am not against the mustang in the slightest, just tired of people blowing it up to super-human proportions and then getting pissed if someone sticks at the bubble with a needle of truth. Yes, I was irritated with my 5.0 when I first joined but I have since seen first hand that something went wrong when Central Coast Mustang built my setup. Not my fault, not the car's fault, CCM's fault. I apologize for my first 2 weeks of venting. (I am sure some of you recall).

 

Just my two cents, but I dont think it is the moderators job to call BS on posts.

Plus, you are on an internet forum; you have to expect a certain amount of BS.

 

I agree with you, but I also feel that they SHOULd call out the blatent stuff, they are here because they know the cars better than most and are good in resolving conflict issues. I feel they should offer a "expert opinion" if you will in some cases. I am more used to heavily moderated forums. I agree, this is the internet and a lot of BS flies. I just have not seen it get this far out of hand often at all. I spent 2 years on LS1tech and if something gets out of hand or is obviously BS about 2 or 3 mods will tend to it in a professional way (Not that the other threads were not done so, they needed a locking). Before I get the "go back to LS1tech.com" BS, I own a mustang, and like F-bods (will own one within the year hopefully), why not be a member of both?

The biggest point to remember is....THIS IS A MUSTANG BOARD, of course we feel the Mustang is superior.

 

This and about 3-4 other threads in the s/s should be moved/deleted. Its annoying to look up and see all these threads that are not street or strip.

 

I somewhat agree, let if run a few hours and then delete it. It should serve its purpose by then.

 

I call BS when I see it for sure , but you must realize that no matter what my experiance is and how "expert" my opinion may be, there will be people here who want to argue. Personally I don't give a rats *** if Joe-Mustang owner thinks his car is faster than the space shuttle. Also please realize that us mods have real jobs, families and our own cars to worry about, this forum is voluntieer work for us, so no we can't, and should not have to call BS all the time.
WITH THAT SAID!!! You two guys need to drop all this BS, this is NOT the place for this crap. If you guys want to fight take it to PM's, don't make the rest of us suffer or waiste band width.
