Didn't an Evo break into the 8's last weekend??

 

6mustang6 just wondering, where are you located? South Florida, is home to some really powerful EVOs, including a 1022AWHP and a couple of 900WHP models, and multiple 800whp models. I'm not sure why there are so many high horsepower EVOs in South Florida, but it definitly a spot to be weary of. There are other little spots around the country, but nothing like South Florida, them rich folks down there like them some EVOs.

 

Im in Georgia. Im just scared that im about to race an EVO like that.

 

Are you building an all motor 454? Just wondering, because you must have alot of good **** in it to make 900hp on muscle alone.

 

If you have a NOSed out car with lets say around 845whp and your scared about a turbo lagging evo you got some big problems.

 

Statman, your correct. Buschur Racing's 2003 Black EVO ran a 8.95 @ 163. I've got it on film but my wife lost the disk to load it onto the computer!

There are some fast evo's out there, but the chances of running into one are slim to none.

 

We've been reconsidering. I was going to put a blower on it. even without the blower, with nos i should still be hitting around800-900. the 454 has aluminum heads, big cam, tunnel ram intake, etc. The pistons are going to be dome pistons. It's going to be stroked, bored. etc. It should make a very nice combo, but im going to hate all that compression at the gas pumps.
