I was at 7-11 and I'm not going to mention names but one of my good friends from the sherriffs dept around here who is just a big kid decided to run me from a dig on the corner and when the light turned green I put about a car to two cars on him and then when we got up to about 60 he was about 3 or 4 back, then after 60 it was like he decided to spray a 600 direct port wet shot and proceeded to put about 4 or 5 lengths on me by 100+

yeah I thought they were fast but not that nuts, do they detune them or something when they resell them to the public?!?!

I know our crown vics on my department cant get out of their own way. They run alright but not that strong, but then again we pound on them pretty hard

No we use all Fords Ive seen them and they look tuff

 

My dad has always driven police interceptors. They are nothing special (he bought them from police auction and used them in his oversided load pilot car service). I got ahold of one and we put a 98 5.4L from an F150 in it. It had aluminum DS, 3.27 posi, plus the 5.4 that we put in and used a 4.6L manifold and the police ECU with. It would move pretty good but as usual the POS ford automatic tranny owned me and slipped relentlessly in 95+* weather. Was pretty bad, could rev her in 1st gear. It would move out for such a boat though. Handling was decently stiff due to the police suspension, it did have almost 50/50 the way it felt going around corners in the rain. Anywho. Fun car, I still miss it. I have owned a Trans Am, a mustang GT, and coming soon a Ls1 6-speed Z hopefully, but that car was FUN!
