yeah I love them both. I had a 2000 Black GT...bought it from a Sherrif Deputy in Austin, Tx and it was supposed to have "high flow catalytic converters"...didn't have **** under there....I llloooovveeeddd the drone of that thing on the highway. When I got up to 90 you could feel it in your ears...just building up. Dark tint all the way around, some K&N work and mineral grey[ish] bullit rims. Yeah, like the typical owner I guess, I would take my SRT over it though. I loved my mustang, but I have so much more fun in the SRT. Now I am just waiting for my stage 2 to come in from Mopar[sm=gears.gif]

Sounds about right. That "other thing" was probably a MBC (manual Boost Controller) and he should be mid 13's with what you listed + that. You will get him until he spools. With a turbo/intercooler up-grade and some tuning/injectors/fuel-pump he will be deep in the 12's and possibly the 11's. Around $4500+labor from where he now sits. Ohhh...+++++ TIRES!!!

My friend just finished bolting up his Stage 3...DAMN THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS ARE MEAN!!! (And they handle VERY WELL!!! I would never try to out-handle one in a Mustang/F-bod)

Stage 3 is awesome, I'm going that route this winter, I'm stage 2 now and skimming very high 12's with slicks. I'm hoping for a high 11 next spring when the big turbo go's on. the stages kits have nice street manners also stay out of the boost and they'r as dossile an an other neon.

If he pony's up $4500 for the stage 3 kit your car would not have the wheaties. I am in awe of what dodge did with those little things!

For the price they are not that bad. How much does a stock SRT-4 weigh in at? Every site I go to has huge differences. How many horses does the stage 3 put you at?

My friend spent 3500, did his own thing (non-stage setup) and went big turbo and was running 11.8@122 on DR's untuned as far as I know in his SRT4.

The SRT4 weighs in at 2900# even for 2004 according to the NADA handbook.

I am not sure what the stage 3 rwhp is, let me look it up.

MOPAR has not yet rated their stage 3 kit. I do know that a stage 3 MOPAR SRT4 with exhaust and slicks did 11.7 though. Another of my friends just installed his stage III in his and says that its good for low/mid 12's.

You better run him from a dig, I know a guy out-trapping you with just an MBC, exhaust, and a few other cheap things.
