Default vs. Colton's SRT-4

Well, I mentioned in a previous thread that I would eventually race an SRT-4, and well....It happened tonight.

I'm not going to lie. Colton talks a lot of ****. And another thing I'm not going to lie about; he has a nice car. A 2004 Black SRT-4, with HID headlights, catback exhaust, and another minor modification which I can't remember off the top of my head... I joked with him about racing, and I knew he was very iffy about it, but tonight he insisted so out we pulled of the parking lot while 15 of our car buddies looked on...

Unfortunately, my camcorder died so I didn't get any video...Sorry folks.

We both started in first gear, and he started honking while I was at 3.5k RPM. On three, I mashed the pedal and I pulled hard through first gear, shifted and chirped (nearly performance-hindering), and he pulled on me from there. At the next light, ANOTHER Mustang pulled up on his left side, and I was on his right. I didn't see it, but I could hear an H-pipe under there. When the light turned green, the other Stang and I leaped ahead, leaving ole SRT behind for a few seconds, and we were about dead even until the SRT pulled.

I'm a little down about my loss...But when I think about it, comparing a GT to an SRT-4 is like comparing apples and oranges. The performance version from Ford is the Cobra, in this case, the 2004 Cobra, so I guess I shouldn't be hurting too bad. But unfortunately, Colton does do a lot of trash talking like I stated earlier, so I definitely won't hear the end of it.

Until next time....

hey dude... I think you hung very well
nice death [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I give you props just for posting deaths, alot of people don't
I got beat by a I/E TSI talon with a downpipe from a 40 roll by about a car without my gears, then the next thing you know after my gear and my D/R's I beat a stage 2 SRT-4 off the line and after 3rd in my automatic... get the gears, get the tune, get the tires... then go lay a whoopin so you can rub all N/A in his face

Lol, yeah...My dinky Yokohama 245's can't put the power to the ground. I hope to have a Vortech and gears by spring. He's up for a rematch, as well as the Mercedes (which will have a supercharger) I raced and the Civic (which will have a 75 shot of nitrous).

I think he plans on modding a bit, too...But next time I will come out on top.

I like the SRT-4, Mustang rivelry. Their both pretty evenly matched performance cars right out of the box. And both cars are easily modded. The past 2 weeks at cecil county dragway in maryland you couldn't throw a stone without hitting a mustang or a skittle. Just bolt on a few more goddies and he wont be so quick to talk smack next time!
