whatever he means, it has nothing to do with acceleration. he HAS to be speaking about racing, and therefore launch/shift techniques, which are null and void when talking about powerband, especially in an auto.
Racing in a turbo 4 is exactly the same as in a rear drive V8. Launch hard enough not to break traction and shift when your powerband starts to drop off! Only real difference is trying to launch a front driver is alittle harder.

a guy in my auto tech class has an eclipse, its not the newest model or the model before that, but the one before that. i think its a gts? no turbo or anything. he has exhaust and an air intake. im compleetly stock. both sticks. what should i expect? ima run him either way, just wondering what i should expect the outcome to be.

no guys hes not turbo at all. i know for sure because ive seen under the hood, he has a inline 4 w. an air intake, no turbo at all, maybe he just had badges on it, idk.. but i no its deff not a turbo car, no question in that.

put it this way, my sis has a 99 eclipse gs and i put carlenghts on her with my nissan that ran a 15.4 stock. they are not that fast. the gs-t are good for about a high 14 low 15 stock. hope that helps
