BTW, I have said it before, and I'll say it again...

You cannot honestly sit here and tell me that if someone came up and made you the offer than you could never sell either car for more than a dollar, but you could have either one for free, that you would take the vette. Money aside no sane person would have the Z in their driveway if the GT was an option.

This is not to say the Z isn't a great car. If the rules were the same but the choice was a new Viper or a GT500 I would definatly have a Z in the garage with the stock cam pulled out, and I bleed Ford blue. Its a great car, but its no GT
honestly, i think i would lean more towards the Z. not a fact, but fairly probable. i couldnt have either one and let it just sit somewhere looking "pretty". id HAVE to drive it. and the Z is probably more comfy for a bigger guy like myself, so, Z it would be for me. im fairly sure anyway.....

I think Vetts are ugly, well maybe not ugly, just not appealiong to me. GT Baaaayyybeeee. Our mustang club has a member that has 1. He hasnt stopped modding it since he got it. There were Vetts, Cobras & 2 Ferraris @ our club show last week & the GT was the only 1 with a crowd around it continually.

No chance I would not drive the GT if I owned it, espcially if it was free.

The guy on that british show (wtf is the name? brain fart here) is like six foot two, and he fit in it according to him "very comfortably". The GT is acutally supposed to be a very refined car to acutally drive around. Everyone was suprised when it came out and it didn't feel like driving a 80's lambo (or hell, a 2000's lambo)

Another thing you guys are forgetting..

The Z might be attractive to girls, but the GT is a MAGNET. You would have to be beating them off with a bat.

Seriously, pull up to any club in america with a GT and just yell out "who wants to give me a ...."

Its gonna happen

I am surprised neither of the drives got killed. Stupid and irresponsible if you ask me. You do that stuff on an empty highway or on the track, not in heavy traffic.

But yeah… this is coming from a guy that has footage of himself sitting next to a racecar driver doing a street race in a merc 32 SLK AMG compressor hitting the limiter at 160mph. (260kph) trough night time traffic. Lets just say you are allowed to do something stupid once in your life. But I can say I’ll never do that stuff again. That was scary as HELL, and dangerous.

Its gunna take ALOT of money to make a z06 competition for a ford gt. My dad has an 05 gt red with white stripes, we've smoked a few z06s, the only one that was close had all kinds of crazy work done to it, I'd take the gt

It doesn't take much for a C6 Z06 stay with a GT... but it's just as easy if not easier to mod the GT really well... and obliterate the Vette. But, it is 40k more then the Corvette. It is, what it is.

Ok, and im goin to do it... PICS PLEASE!! lol, not asking for you to prove, I just wanna see it.. haha... im sure if your dad has one he has pics somewhere... I know I would

eh dont you think it was Clarkson and TopGear?

"didnt feel like driving Lambo"????? wtf???

GT 40 has its own heritage, I would expect from a Stang owner to know that ...btw number 40 defined inches of the original GT from the ground to the top of the car which made it difficult for tall people to fit it. New GT is higher.

Isnt this a street racing section?

Anway they were really playing with fire there. Several typical death.crash situations, when they follow holiday driver going in the left lane, then decide to overtake him from the right and he starts to move back into their line....

But what the hell is wrong with putting the speed to the limiter?? One thing: When it was happening to me, I solved it by pressing the button at the Diablo and limiter is gone )))

anyway, footage shows also how stupid "normal" drivers are. WTF is 60mph pickup doing in the very left lane??? I say: KEEP THE LEFT LANES CLEAR FOR FAST CARS.
