I just got back from California yesterday and I was glad to see my stang so I took it to work and I was cruising in traffic and I noticed there was some slight challenging going on. This dude in this Chrysler 300c was showing off his ride I assume and he was getting in front of me at every light. We just so happened to be turning onto the interstate, but I ended up passing by them and forgot all about it. I was cruising at around 80 when I noticed him coming up on me fast. I kept my pace and he slowed up behind me. I checked the popular spots that the cops usually waited at and then gave it a little gas to open some distance. He came up on me again. I cruised and lured him to this straightaway that is nice for high speed and when I was about to get on it, he got in the next lane and punched it. He was coming up on me hard and I dropped it in third and started pulling away from him hard once my powerband kicked in. I came out of 3rd into 4th and shut down cuz we was flying at that point. I didn't look because there was this thunderbird in front of me and I had to slow down. Once I exited the interstate, the 300c was right beside me and I dropped it in neutral and goosed it continously while the light was red. They didn't look over. When the light turned green, they took off slowly. The thunderbird guy gunned it and flew off, but we both didn't bother with it. It felt good going to work after killing another powerful car.

 

Nice kill. And I'm guess you have a GT?

 

300C= poor mans Bently.....lol . They are decently fast but still no match for a GT.

The 300C SRT-8(425HP) should give a GT a good run maybe even edge em out with a good driver. The hemi 300C(340HP) is good for mid 14's, The 2.7 & the 3.5 V6 should take the better part of a month to cross the 1/4. If you raced a SRT-8 nice kill, HEMI still decent kill, If you raced a 6 banger stop wasting your gas

 

Srt-8 anything will beat a new edge GT... You're thinking of the R/T with the 345hp - the SRT8 is the one with the 425hp. The R/T Hemi motor runs around a mid 14... the SRT8 motors put down low 13s in any of the cars. New Edge GT should be in the lower 14's...

 

I just raced a brand new SRT8 at the track and he beat me by .017. [:@]

My launch was sub par on that particular run (2.092 60 ft). If we went again I would almost guarantee a victory.

 

Yep, not the SRT-8. That would've been a good run if it was one of those.

 

I don't know about an srt-8 beating a GT, like I said a good driver should win but I seen A bozo 2 weeks ago at cecil county dragway run a 14.5 in a charger srt-8! The Charger is a little liter than a 300C. It would really depend on the driver.
