Umm.. the guy hasnt made apost in over a month...

Whats up with all these older threads being dragged back to life lately?

Hi HaV,

I just ran across it and hate to see incorrect or misleading information as th last post in a thread. It gives people the impression that the last guy was right when in this case he clearly was incorrect.

Some forums have a policy against starting new threads for subjects that already appear in older threads.

Is this such a forum?

Hi paco_pony,

I'll take 8,000RPM and the much higher axle gear ratio to multiply the lower torque and be waiting for you at the finish line. Because of torque multiplication the motor with less torque and 8,000RPM limit will be able to use an axle ratio 40% higher and as a consequence lay down more power. Do the math if you don't believe me.

Uhmm, reread my post. We are making the same argument. The 8K RPM with lower torque will kick the other guys a$$ all day long. Looks like we both did the math correctly.

its not really a rule, but threads die for a reason...and when people bring back a post that hasnt been added to in 2 months, it has been forgotten.
