yeap... been there and done that before. But my roommate doesnt like to race his ride that often so he kinda sucks.

You really think this was a case of bad driving? I am hoping to run anywhere from a 13.0 to a 13.4 at the track. This should be directly in the range of a good Ws6 driver.

 

This is exactly what I have been telling everyone here. I have had a lot of personal experience with one on many occassions and no one seems to wanna believe me. I mean not EVERYONE has a 2002 WS6 and its rare that you get to race one every other day. I know for a fact that I can hang!

I wish he liked racing as much as I do though!

WS6's are MEAN. i think they look meaner than what they really are though. haha. j/k. no offense to the LS1 guys. i like gm products too(well, the fast ones anyway). some guy around here was messin w/ my friend in his GT(built 347), and if my friend had 3rd gear, the ws6 wouldnt have had a chance. he had him out of the whole COMPLETELY, by like car, car and a half, but, doesnt have 3rd, so, when he hit third, there went the ws6. he was all high on something and he was pissed off at my friend, saying how he jumped him and all this other bullsh!t......THEY WENT FROM A LIGHT. but, either way, it was fun watchin. ima be hunting LS1's when i get mine done. i want 'Vette's to be scared of my car when they see it..........'cept for the C6......wont mess w/ those unless im running forced induction.

 

btw, 2000, what all mods you got ?? cuz, they way you talk, youre not "stock"......

 

all thats on the car now is a cai. i have a skunk2 short shifter awaiting time and a helper to install it. next 1000 dollars I get will net me some lightweight rims and either shocks and a coilver kit or a carbon fiber hood.

of course it isnt.....its a HONDA. lol no, but, Si's VTEC come in HARD. 5800rpm's, yup, you can tell its an Si. imo Si's have the loudest VTEC. what kind of cai ?? AEM, Injen, DC Sports ?? id get wheels and the carbon fiber hood. id get Eibach springs or something. coilovers are a lot rougher ride. bounces more, unless thats what you want. either way, your car.

 

it's an injen cai. got it on sale. vtec is pronounced now, at half throttle i can hear the sucking sound... at wot it's just engine and then vtec at 5500 rpm.

I have Koni Yellow shocks and Ground Control coilovers picked out. It's true that ride quality is sacrificed somewhat but ride stiffness and the ability to corner is significantly improved, along with the ability to adjust the ride height. The rims I plan on purchasing are 2.5 lbs lighter than the stock Si rims, so I'm losing 10 lbs rolling stock over all.

I also have 195/55-15 Yokohama AVS ES100s sitting here which are about twice as sticky as these ****tay YK420s that are on the car now.

There's a ton of things I want to do in the next few months, the hood, skunk2 Intake manifold, JDM ITR header, RS*R 2 1/4 catback and skunk2 stage two cams/springs/lifters. Hopin to break 14s with that.

 

I hope my gf gets one of those damn cars, I wanna feel this "vtec" that you speak of.
