Oh man, 95LT1 is going to hate this (98LS1).

My 02 GT with 4.10 gears, MAF & Flowmasters vs 95 LT1 JBA Shorties & Magnaflow muffler & 3.73 gears...

We first went from a light, I let him get a fender on me from the light just to make sure he was WOT. I hate going home wondering if they were really trying their hardest...hahaha

I pulled even in 1st, put half a car on him in 2nd and in 3rd I opened it up even more. Well over a car length..we pulled over and talked. Said he gave it all he's got, I asked how he faired for traction and he said perfect, I didn't let him in on the nasty wheel hop I had on my 1-2 shift or my chirp in 3rd gear. We raced from a light twice with the same exact outcome.

I decided to see how I would fair from a roll, figuring this is where the LT1 will shine and totally wax me.

We slowed down to 20 in 1st gear, I told him to start it and he waited a couple seconds and let'er rip. He pulled a fender on me before I floored it and went in persuit. I really raped 2nd gear and to my suprise I pulled pretty hard, his nose was alittle away from my rear bumper, got into 3rd, it wasn't a clean shift, I hit the gate but still got it in, the gap closed just a bit and I slowly opened up a car length on him.

I felt pretty proud of my car, we stopped and talk for a bit a couple miles down the road and decided to give it another try from a roll. This time I didn't let him get the jump, I matched him and took off, I inched ahead alittle in 1st, 2nd gear I put about a car on him and in 3rd I just kept pulling and decided to give up.

We stopped and talked again and he was beyond impressed. My ol' 281 cubes put up a pretty good fight for that LT1!!

I really enjoyed reading that...I honestly thought the LT1's should have pulled on you from a roll....You must have one fast stang dan...

That and you must be a pretty good driver - closest ive ever gotten to beating a camaro was his tail light to my headlight. Good kill

I wrote that pretty late last night, looks like I failed to mention it was a TA. I was prepared to power shift if he was able to keep up with me or pull away...

I've always wanted to see how I'd run against a modded TA.

Apparently you forgot the rules:

#1 The LS1 cannot be beaten.
#2 All Mustangs are stock.
#3 All LS1s run mid/high 12s bone stock from the factory.
#4 Even the 03 Cobra is a mid 13 car.
#5 The LS1 was not racing.
#6 The LS1 was parked.
#7 The LS1 was just playing with you.
#8 The LS1 was actually a V-6 with Z28 badges.
#9 The LS1 was actually an LT1, which can only be beaten by an LS1.
#10 The race does not count because it ended before 160mph.
#11 The race does not count because it did not start from a roll.
#12 The race does not count because the LS1 was not properly tuned.
#13 If you still feel your Mustang may have beaten an LS1, please see #1.

Haha, I only wish man. I USED to have too much free time...until I wrecked the LT1 car. Now it's work and school all the time....teh fun, no wait, teh bad...

I've collected a lot of useless stuff when I used to have free time though, if you can't tell.
