Do most people use the heel/toe method when doing a burnout at the track or do you move your left foot quickly to the brake? I'm guessing heel toe cause I don't see many people move forward at all and I know they can't all be automatics. I can't drive around the water box at my local track so i'd like to sit and spin for a couple of seconds atleast, but I didn't feel the track was the best place to practice my method.

If you're running on street tires, dont worry about doing a burn out. Just give it a quick spin to get the dirt off.

Yeah for some reason they don't like water on the track[8D]...

I just drop the clutch and get on the brake. not quite sure how the heel toe method works. even with street tires i noticed that a couple second burnout produced a better 60' time than just a quick spin of the tires.

heel on the brake, toe on the gas using your right foot. I guess a line lock would be best, i'm not sure I'd use it much though.

I just move my foot over really quickly. Sadly, my 'mary has a HINGED accelerator pedal, so no heel-toeing for me...

Typically, I would agree fully. But, since he can't go around the water box, he certainly needs to do a little longer than a quick spin.

Yep, no way to get around the water. How difficult is it to install the linelock kits? I can bleed brakes no problem, do you have to do any drilling?
