well i dont have to look at my rpms, like a real racer i know when to shift by sound, i dont really care how fast i go that doesnt matter to me, all that matters is that im in front of the car next to me, i dont see y u people get so pissed, if street racing is done right then there is no more danger then going to the track,

o they do, but do u think they can stare at them when they r restarting at 50+ mph and have cars 2 inches apart next to them and both in front and behind, i dunno about that one

no they dont, back when i was little and first saw a shift light i got all exited and went and told my dad, he lauged at me and said it was for p****s who couldnt drive, they dont use em, they dont need em, although i dont think they r for p****s now

lol, dude iveseen a stock car u idiot... they have shift lights, everything about stock cars is insane, i only got to see from the outside b/c the instruments in the car was worth too much to let people sit inside, but they do have shift lights, b/c say we'll use ur example, ur 2 inches away.. and by the sound of it you arent 100% sure if ur in the redline or not, THIS IS WHERE A SHIFT LIGHT COMES IN PLAY, if u were in the redline, and u try to pass on the right, u gas it to get around, but u were already in redline, so that could be some major dmg, and lets say he wasnt in the redline, so he shifts up and trys to go on the right, but the cars goin way too slow b/c it wasnt the right time to shift...
