A roll race favors the car with the higher trap speed. With a lid and cutout (stock manifolds and cats) my auto trapped 106.7. Hope this helps.

It's a pushrod, so it's not quite as efficient though...

Um, yeah, my antiquated pushrod motor just can't hold a candle to the model of power and effeciency, the Ford 4.6L OHC V8.
I won't even go into the horribly "inefficient" LS6, LS2, and LS7. I really don't think it's neccessary.

so wow i raced a ws6 last night, it was completely awesome....and my girlfriend was with me, we did three races each from 50 and wow i have to say my car held its own, the t/a never pulled on me, we went to like 105 or so and he never left me, he had an exhaust and damn was it loud, but the funniest part was me and my girlfriend had just left a wedding where her uncle was talkin trash to me about his camero, and how itd take me at the track if it wasnt broken.....BUT i thought the big bad ls1 just roasted the 4.6 2v or 4v from a roll. either he didnt know how to drive which i think he did, or i just won out of sheer luck....
Do you know the difference between the lt1 and ls1 WS6 bodies? Check out this thread to see the difference in body stlyes.

How much do the LS1 T/A/Camaros usually dyno at the wheels bone stock? Assuming they are manuals.

I just nailed 312rwhp last Friday on the dyno, and mine is still completely stock. I would assume the TA/Camaro are pretty much the same thing. If that's true, you still are down 30-40hp. Weight is a factor of course, but I still think you'd need a bit more done to beat them as bad as you say. I'm willing to bet the guy just needed a few driving lessons.

Right around 300 rwhp, give or take a few.
