Those cars come stock with a FMIC by the way.

A "bolt-on" Evo should run high to mid 12s. I really don't see it running much faster than that with basically just an exhaust and boost controller.

They run low 13's stock. I raced a stocker that ran 13.44 against me, the next year he was running 12.5 with fairly minor mods. I don't recall exactly what those mods were, but I remember thinking how easily he got that little bastard into the mid 12's.

You can take a stock STI and without upgrading the turbo, you can make it run mid to low 12's (with meth injection). The EVO comes stock with a more efficient turbo and I have heard that they can be made to run low 12's to very high 11's. Again, they need to be properly driven to achieve these times.

mid 13 or 12.9

What? No way.

I was hanging around a guy with a white evo at the track yesterday. Non of my mustang guys were there and only about 30 cars total. He ran 12.1-12.3's on a super slick track. His best was 11.8 something another day which is definatly believable. I know he had a good amount of mods, but still stock turbo and stock tires. He was trapping between 116-118.

We raced I had him with the R/T and i yanked off a 1.88 60' to his 1.8 or something. We were even at about the 1/8 mile then he rocketed past me.

The newer EVO's are into 11's with just bolt on's and stock turbo. BTW a turbo upgrade is also a bolt-on.

I don't consider a 3k upgrade a bolt on...

My s/c can "bolt on" but I wouldn't consider it that since it was 6k with everything...

Where have you been shopping? The baddest turbo around should be no more than $1500, but I'm just tellin ya a lot of DSM guys consider it a bolt-on since it's so easy to swap.
