Default Honda S2000?

I see posts all day about mustangs vs. civics and such, but what about the S2000? Its a respectable car stock I would think but rarely do I ever see any street races or drag races posted about them. Do the owners just not run these cars much?

1 they tend to be owned by older and more well-off (responsible) people...

2 those that do own them to race them will not usually run a 'stang in a straight line, because that is the 'stangs element, and the S2k is out of it's element.

3 the times most S2K's will race is in the twisties, and no one ever posts stories where they lose...

S2K's will roll on a 99-04 GT if the S2K is driven well. Straightline or otherwise.

S2k's are fair game for 99-04 gt's, Both trap around 98-101. The run around 14.3-13.9, so from a dig it mite own a 99-04 gt

I dont know about that. I past one at a light going like 20mph and then i let of , some kid was driving( it was an ugly yellow colored car) i saw him eyeing the crap out me. So he was about 2 car links behind me( not one was on our side of the road) and all of a sudden he floors it past me with that annoying exhast. Im like WTF! Followed him up his a$$ for about half a mile going around curves and wat not and at a reasonable speed and i have to say my car held its own. Untill we got to open road and then i past him and took off. Ya he took off to but i left him behind and didnt look back.

I see those almost everyday here in Plano TX, my uncle had one (traded in for a 350z) i raced him and i beat him plenty of times, maybe that's why he got the z cuz that one catches me after i put 2 cars on him form the hole, as someone said here most of them are driven by old guys"responsible" but most of them sucky drivers. sisnce i driven my uncle's ex car i can say that yes they are quick (they weight nothing) the handling is really nice specially compared with my heavy stang gt, but they lack of torque, i think the hp is 260 just like the new edge gts but their torque is under 290, so pretty much the only good thing about them is their wheight, if you can drive you can beat them

I have seen these things turn 13's. They are not a slow car. If DRIVEN PROPERLY they will roll on a 99-04 GT 9 times out of 10.

They drive like a sportbike on 4 wheels, you really have to rev the hell out of them to get the power. They feel like crap until 4500rpm then you have to keep it over 4500 when you shift to maintain power.
