Default Track Results!

Got in a total of 7, yes SEVEN runs tonight @ the track. Tech worked like this today.. I signed my name, they wrote the number and said have fun. No inspection what so ever, and they never said a word to me about my times.

Anyways, the track was okay tonight. was pretty cool so traction was a bit of an issue going down the track, and it started getting REALLY sloppy the longer we were there.

I am extremely pleased with the results.. I officaly cannot launch this car.. since I havent had it for a week yet obviously. And I cannot shift worth a damn... Not used ot the extremely high point on this clutch so that really slowed me down. On all the faster runs I had to shift to 5th.. just ran outta gear. Also, the clutch was slipping quite a bit after the first run or 2, mostly from first to second.

The car is with out a doubt capable of a high 11 second pass with a pro driver.. I may be able to get low 12's out of her yet with out changing a thing.

My best slip for the night:

RT: .596
60': 1.956
330: 5.462
1/8: 8.258
MPH: 88.24
1/4: 12.697
mph: 108.32

Like I said, I suck at shifting.. I had to go into 5th on all 4 runs in the 12's.. so it really killed my time fumbling to get it it there.. If I had a quicker 60', which this car is definatly capable of much faster, then i wouldnt have had that problem. I stayed in 4th on the video/13.1 slip on this post.

Anyways.. still want to kill my friends for not getting the 12.6 run.. they swore they had it on video for me... and they managed to video this slow *** green car right after my run while talking about my run.. but.. ohh well. lol

VIDEO!! (may not be available till later tonight.. lol)

Ohh, forgot to say.. tonight was full of WONDERFUL cars.. I mean there wasnt a car running slower than a 15 all night.. and only a few of those.. THey were supposed to get video of the 2 TA's taht kept racing each other.. both were stock except for lid's, one had DR's and a 6 speed, one was an auto on street tires.. neither could do better than high 13's.. over and over. The 2 S197's in a pair of video's I will post here shortly were doing much better... but again.. failure to use the damn camera.. but atleast I have slips for proof!

Way to go, HaV! You're making me proud! I know that clutch has seen more yesterdays than tomorrows. It grabbed much better last summer. Man am I pissed that a) I never brought it to the track and b) I never raced my brother in his C6. You pulling a 12.6 with only having the car a week and the clutch slipping like that tells me what I had always thought - I'd have taken my bro's $55K C6 in a 1/4 mile run. Even he said he thought it would. I know the car is heavy because it is a vert, but when you get the launch down (and a new clutch) it will hook like a monster (like it used to). I am not sure of the 11's, but low 12's for sure.

Congrats and man does it make me happy to see the car being enjoyed still. 142k miles and still running like a raped ape.

That's just crazy. I use my own website to host videos.

I'm dying to see my old car being run down a track. [&:]

Cool - I wish you had your 12.6 run on tape.

You either didn't get your foot off the clutch fast enough going into 2nd or that baby was slipping bad. Also, it sounds like you didn't stay in 3rd long enough on that run.

Exhaust/headers sounds great doesn't it?
