Don't worry, gentleman, I know very well what Evos are capable of. And to be honest with you, I wouldn't want to run that car from a dig, especially with my stock tires and sawblades on right now, but I think my top-end and 4.10s really kicked Evo guy in the ***-meter, if you know what I mean. The Evo is fast, but it is fast with no fuss, it just doesn't it. My car is a bit more violent than the Evo. But, I do feel that taht car would take me from a dig, unless I put my Torque Thrusts (with NT555Rs) back on, but those rears are currently throwing up sparks, but they still hook darn-good.

 

if the transmission is griding, I wouldnt give it very long before it just gives.. thats by far the weakest part of the EVO's.. Ive read story's of mitsu sending out employees to get the tag numbers of any EVO's they see at the track to cancel the warranty.. they were replacing a TON of the tranny's under warranty at first. Dont know if its still going on or not.. I know it happened to a guy here in Tulsa. Lol.

I would have ran him and found out. Those things are sooo iffy on the track... the launch didnt look bad at all any of the times.. Kept pulling low to mid 15's.. some guys talked with him when we were waiting on the track to be cleared and told him to launch it higher.. he launched near the max and pulled a 13.4. Its ALL about the launch on those cars. They usualy dont trap all that well, but man do they ever get off the line.
