ok soo last night i finally got to race my friend in his srt 4..stage 2 mopar kit(not stage 2 turbo) borla exgaust and some turbo toys..also had a fresh set of radials....you can see my mods below. anyway we lined up at a light and when it turned green i dumped the clutch[sm=badidea.gif]. needless to say i spun forever and he killed me that race...next race was different...we were at another light, it turned green and i let the clutch out slow but kept my Rs up...didnt spin much and i beat him (later on he said he was waiting at the light and didnt go when it was green) so after that we decided to go from a role....i was kinda scared cause every one tells me srt-4s are nasty as hell from a role but i did it ne way..we were at about 30mph and he beeped 3 times..i was in second gear and i flored it and just started to pull on him all the way to 120mph then i let off...i was pretty damn suprised that i beat him from a role...we decided to go again this time at 50mph...i beeped this time and once again i pulled on him [sm=gears.gif] . now im not gona brag or ne thing..cause i only beat him by a half car each time but i was still pretty impressed on the outcome...let me know what you guys think...thanx

hahahaha. ill talk **** to jimmy for you lol. he was sayin stuff to me yesterday. im suprised he didnt pull you from a roll.

I dont know about 3.73 gears, but with stock 3.27 30 mph in 2nd will be a lousy start. You want engine above 3,000 for a good start. So, not sure about your case, but with me at 30 Id start in 1st. An up shift will be faster than 2nd at low revs.



Another thing, you cant race. You have to do it more often to get to know your car. From stand, Id rev to 2,000 rpm, and be waiting. Then on light I start lifting clutch and add more gas, just a little bit. Id feel it hook, and depending how well it goes, Id add more gas, and then when I completely off the clutch, I floor it. On up shift to 2nd, I put the clutch all the way in, do a fast shift, and lift the clutch but not all the way, add gas, if not spinning I take the clutch out and floor it. 2nd to 4rd is a power shift, clutch in upshift clutch out. Same with the rest of gears.



Race with windows up, less drama from the outside and you can gear your car better. You can even take out shifter boots to hear it better. Im surprised it was only half a car length, you should do a lot better.

I'm not surprised you beat him, especially when stock for stock its a good race, and neither one of you are stock. The upgraded exhaust and turbo stuff isnt helpin him as much as your mods are. Especially when stock your GT was probably about 235rwhp, and now your puttin 270 down, nice kill.

thanx guys..last night we raced again..he thought he could take me cause he just got back from the track and had 104 octain in his car.....NOPE i pulled on him again from a roll

yea i thought it seemed a bit high myself but hey im not complainin! suposidly dyno jets are really high or somethin? i duno but yea thats all i have done to it...i had it dynoed when i had a underdrive pully bbk x pipe basannie cat back intake x calibrator 2 chip short throw and clutch and it suposidly made 247..the guy didnt give me a print out of that run. after that i got a 70 mm t body and plenum put on and got a diablo chip then had it dyno tuned and the chart said 268...sorry not quite 270 haha i like to round up. but if you have ne sugestions on what i can do to get a tru 270 rwhp leme know and ill try to get my dyno sheet up here sometime

Stage kits are terrible inless you get Stage III. I had an SRT-4 I made a custom setup myself, and made a little over 300 at the wheel, for about 2/3's of the price.
