Ive had a couple of races lately but the only one I care to mention is this idiot in his New MC SS.....This guy pulls next to me the other night trying to throw a rod through his block reving at me!Now Ive never ran against one yet so I said what the hell,Why not?So we get the light and holly sh*t the **** vanished!I mean I left him so hard that buy the time I got to third he was way the hell back there!We get to the next light and the guy was cool(thumbs up).Come to find out he let out of it when he shifted to 2nd because he knew he was whipped he said.My question is,,What does Chevy have in these MC SS?If they are going to have the SS badge then they should be packing a better motor!

Although a well driven S197 GT should manage 5 flat to 60, a V-8 MC maybe on a great day is mid 5's, more likely high 5's, that's a few car lengths, that's why he "wised-up" and prevented a further embarrassment by shutting down

Was it an '06/'07 SS? They have a 303HP 5.3L version of the LS-2 motor, but they are auto equipped and, from what I hear, have major torque-steer issues. I believe the earlier SS MCs('04-'05) were S/C'd V-6s with 240HP, before that a lame 200HP sixer......

Not to mention the fact that FWD hooks up like dogsh_t!!!!!!!!! Still I'd much rather have a MC SS over any sedan Ford makes.

the new ones, 06 and up i believe, have the 5.3L 303 HP v8.
other than that, its a supercharged V6 of some sort, i think 3.8 or something like that.

i went to a car show and saw a 4 door slowbalt that had SS badges plastered all over it. from the factory.
