Well after a night of disspointments, ran into another ZR-1 Vette (have a video from me behind before i tried to race him, 3rd one i have seen in 4 days, plus the one i raced a while back!!!), but the old white guy with a jerry curl didnt want to race after he tried to leave me and i stuck on his bumper, lol... but ran into a kid with a (not sure what year) but a Formula Firebird (think it was a LS1_ couldn't be sure (he had all the ls1 factory stuff on it like the wheels). Seeing how my girl was in the car and my rear tires are 95% bald, kinda hoping he wouldnt wanna run, haha... but, we caught a light goin over a bridge.. we both eased off the light, then I heard the engine open up (i swear it was a cam, but i could be wrong) the thing was loud as hell, and I slammed it... and after I got some traction out of 1st gear (opened at about a 15mph roll or so)... 1/2 car, 3/4 car 1 car.. then back down to a 1/2 car, then back up to a half car as i finished 3rd gear... then I shut down really quick doin just over 100mph (the safe part of the road was over) over the bridge people can turn into you and cops love to hang out there...

LS1 guys - help me out here, what exactly did I race a LT1 or a LS1? The car looked like a late 90's with FORMULA written on the door, and the hood had the flip out lights and type of hood thats on the LS1 non-ws6 t/a. The thing sounded cammed had th (gluck gluck gluck) sound... but, he also had true duals (they were hangin down), not sure what else he had or didn't have - wanted to talk to him, but really couldnt.. I was to busy getting bit*hed out by the girlfriend, haha.

Oh, and did get another race for the record... well the Integra was racing, I was pacing him until i got bored, and just left him standing, hah - always fun to beat the thugged out kids in there acuras, haha.

well, not sure if it was cammed but possibly couldve been like u said. the true duals give it a slightly cammed sound. but gonna assume it was an LS1, as an LT1 would need quite a bit of work to hang or beat you
i ran a bolt on LS1 auto wednesday at the track. he ran a 12.0@113

I am on n2s, and i dont remember that car looking very familiar... I've been to meets with a couple of them... and know a few of them... but again nothing that i remembered, and i was looking last nite. but im not one ot put "is this person here" threads... I know i've seen very slightly modded ls1's do mid to low 12's... he was when I shut down a good 1 car behind me which is what doin 100mph .2-.3 in a qtr mile? ehh i dunno... If it was just cammed w/exhaust but the steep gearing - that could've done something, but i guess my car was just faster last nite...

nice run. It snowed here last night and they had the salt trucks all over the place so i don't think i'll be taking the cobra out ne more.

It was an LS1. Other than that, street races are too subjective to say much.
