Nice death. An LT1 with those mods is an easy low 13 second car, possibly high 12's, but might need taller gears for that. How you know the mods but not the year of car, usually thats the first thing you find out? What mods do you have?

Depending on the year and condition of the motor, they run high 13's to low 14's stock, I didnt think a cam knocked off 1 full second.

yes... CAM ONLY! How is that so hard to understand? Guys in LS1s have pulled low 11's high 10s w/just a cam... THE MEANEST CAM YOU CAN FIND! In this case w/ an LT1 its not hard to understand that he took you...a crazy cam can put anyone to the advantage. They get it tuned and what do u have? A BEAST! IT'S POSSIBLE and I have seen it happen!

Ok before all you guys get your panties in a bunch. The term 'cam only" means that no other internal mods have been done. Yes it can have supporting mods like tires and exhaust. This term is just to separate bolt ons from internal mods.

JD, I think a sticky needs to be made concerning the terms "cam only," "bolt-ons," "internally stock," etc. Apparently there are a lot of Mustang owners swapping out camshafts without doing anything else to the car whatsoever, which would be mounumentally stupid. F-body owners do not do this. If an F-body has a bigger cam than stock, you must assume the owner does not have Down Syndrome and has therefore upgraded at least the exhaust and probably the gears and/or torque converter to get the car into the new cam's powerband. Not doing that would render the new cam worthless.
These are not difficult concepts to understand, guys. Jeez.
