Notice the "BHP" after the HP number. Obviously foreign, or a kid quoting from another website and doens't really know what the number means.

 

You guys really have to get off this AWD thing. Bolt some slicks on your GT, MACH, COBRA and you have the = to AWD. I launched my car off the rev limiter with the slicks on it. AWD doesn't own all. On the street, in the rain maybe, but come on. Get some drag radials for the street. You won't have a problem with the AWD cars. You'll be able to launch just as hard.

i beg to differ. AWD...ownz. always. no question. "get some drag radials for the street."??? why dont i just get a bigger engine for the street? or some "nawz" for the street why buy drag tires to compete with a 4 banger on snow tires? just make more power.
rwd has its advantages. i've said it before, true sports cars are almost always rwd for a reason.
awd=understeer=teh suck. rwd=oversteer=fun. i used to drive rwd. it was awsome.

 

They were talking about the launch. You could get a bigger engine. But for $250 you can hang with the AWD crowd. They don't own always. Snow and rain, sure. Dry pavement with sticky tires...No difference.

 

that is true. the best 60' i can hope for is 1.69-1.75. many rwd's w/ slicks can do better than that.

 

u cant brag about a car that run's low in the 1/4 w/ slicks cuz that means crap on the street...even w/ radials on the street awd is still gonna own u

Are you kidding? I went 1.9 on street tires with a gear under it. I thought your 60's were way lower than that.

Oh ya, some guy at work wants to run me in his Evo VIII...said it went 8.5 @ 82mph. He wants to run from a roll though, go figure. Said he whoops on auto LS1's from a roll all the time....but has a tough time with M6 cars. His car is broke right now though, with teh mighty 6k miles on it. He also said he is getting a catback that'll add 40hp, is this true or is he full of it?
