to make my opinion short i raced a evo last week turbo timer blow of valve fuel maangment exhaust. 25mph-110 and i killed him by at least 3 cars

 

try racing him from a dig next time ..

and a turbo timer cant b considered a performance mod cuz it doest up the hp in anyway...so besides his exhaust and fuel managment u basiclly raced a stock evo

 

very true. my car has the same traction on the street as it does at the track. so if someone bolts on slicks to run as fast as me, when they head home, i am in the lead again. not to mention my tires are snow rated and i use them year round. hell, i drove through the chain inspection area and spit up snow on some punk in an rsx.

Guys, get off the AWD *******. Even the mighty AWD king himself, iwrxit, will you tell you to go REALLY fast, you need RWD. How many AWD cars do you see cutting sub 1 second 60's...

1 million hp AWD car vs 1 million hp RWD car on slicks....RWD wins.

Most any decently fast AWD car you race with a pretty fast RWD car, you'll pass around the 1/8 mile marker.

 

y do u need rwd to go really fast?? r we talkin about street fast or track fast as in 7sec passes

RWD + Stick + Parking lot full of snow = Most fun you'll ever have

When you hit the gass, the weight transfers to the back of the car....

AWD tranny's have a hard time taking the shock of an AWD launch. The car isn't made to do that, it's made to drive rally style. If there is an AWD 7 second car, I'd like to see the tranny and clutch holding that thing up.

Go watch some top fuel cars run and then tell the driver, "y0 man, that would be mad tyte with that AWD system."

 

if i were to put dr's on my car, i would break axles and such. there is 3 diff's and too much traction. i spin all four from the launch. sometimes the rears smoke, sometimes the fronts go up. that is my belief to why rwd cars w/slicks get better traction. awd cars cannot do wheelies. half of our power goes foward. on the street, i still believe awd>rwd. another thing. i have never seen a 1200hp subaru. that "might" lift something off the ground. to date, this is the fastest wrx "in america". there is a 8.9 second car in AUS, and this car has run faster, but i don have the vid. you see the diffenrence in AWD and RWD.
