Me VS. Camaro
The mustang GT was never built to compete with the LT1/LS1 F-Body cars. Not only that, there isnt a stock LT1 camaro/fireturd that is gonna keep with a S197 GT, and last time i checked.......being a few bolt ons away from running a car with "corvette technology" and with less displacement wasnt anything to sneeze at. The 3vs are great cars, no denying that, not to mention the fact that they destroy LT1s and like above mentioned, are just bolt on's away from mid to high twelve second 1320 ETs. But LS1s are badass

SSTEELE................the comment about being "over-rated" was a joke, and I think your on the wrong forum, so go join a Camaro forum and get a sense of humor

Shut it, noob, and learn to read join dates. SSteele and other drivers here of different makes have been here for considerably longer than you and actually provide useful and accurate info desired by Mustang drivers here.

LT1s run high 13s/low 14s, thats the same as an s197 with an average driver

MM&FF got S197 GT's running 12.75 with; DR's, CAI+Tune, LCA, UCA, and a aluminum driveshaft.
THey got the 5-Speed to almost lift the front tires too, which was ****ing sweet.

But since we're on the same page...I guess my cam only/nitrous car is at "Ford GT technology" levels.

Actually MM&FF got a 12.45 out of the S197,but that was launching on the limiter, something I wouldn't care too do while I'm still paying the repair bills. Also, didn't the '97 SS Camaros run mid 13s pretty easy. Not sure if they were LT1s or LT4s though.
