hehe i thought that was the "cody" too....i especially liked the camaros killing mustangs since 1998 comment... while unfortunate that it's true stock. mustangs were built to be modded. that's no secret
Honestly you don't believe that....if you do, then why isn't the old 305 meant to be modded? Afterall, it is slightly larger than the 302, and much larger than the 281. But I guess they only make aftermarket parts for the Mustang? Even though Chevrolet leads the way in aftermarket parts....

Way more comfortable? Says who.....the 50 year old having a mid life crisis? If you want a comfortable car, don't buy a ****in pony car. It's not that hard. I bought a pony car to go fast...not to apease the lady's, or to be more comfortable driving it. I have other cars for that.
Says me.......Oh and by the way Jr. I'm quite a bit younger than 50 but also old enough that when I owned my 95 Z28 your cars were made by Mattel/Matchbox. And since I've owned an F-body before I am not making a bogus opinion.

Well there old timer, don't get your Depends in a bunch.

If you want a comfortable car to drive, buy a sedan...if you want a fast car, buy something that's meant to be fast, not comfortable. That's all I'm saying. I damn sure wouldn't get outrun by someone and then pull up beside them and say, "well, at least my cars more comfortable!" I mean, give me a break.

Exactly...it damn sure cost more than a Corvette...which every 25 year old I know can afford. It's more along the lines of a BMW M series, Caddy V series, Mercedes, etc....and even then, you're still sacrificing luxory for performance.

I've owned sedans before and I find them boring to drive. I wanted a DD that was decently comfortable but also fun to drive so I chose the Mustang. You have to admit the car is much easier to get in and out of compared to an F-body.

Fast cars are supposed to sit low....look at your Vette. My dad always complains about getting in/out of my car, of course, he also used to complain about his C4 as well.

Eh, C5's come cheap. I can actually think of 3 people, one being parked right below me at this moment, that are under 25 and all drive C5's....have driven them for a long time now, back before the C6 even came out.

I've been contemplating selling the TA, getting a C5 and throwing a cam/big shot at it, would be something you don't see every day. I just don't wanna dump $50+k on a C6 when I have a lot of other things I'm wanting to take care of first, like buying/selling real estate....I'll guess I'll just have to suffer with the TA for a while.

My dad brought a C4 to his house that he was test driving for my stepmom to look at. After hurting her back (they're old) getting in and out of it she vetoed it.
So then he brought home a much faster and cooler Grand National, which has a more "traditional" upright stance and is easier for ingress and egress. She gave it the thumbs up.

The 99/01s are mid 13s but that still doesn't put them in LS1 territory all stock.
It kinda does. I ran 13.5 stock, pretty typical for an automatic.
Of course a steeper-geared manual would be quicker than my auto and all Cobras are manual. But still...
Well that 13.5 came from arguably the crappiest combination for the LS1 cars. 2.73 automatic. Now that 13.5 99/01 Cobra time is with a perfect driver. How many of those are out there? I know I'm no where near one myself[&:]
Actually I've seen mags run 13.3s,but 13.5@ about 106mph was about the norm.BTW put a set of 4.30,D.Rs,and a few bolt ons[with a driver mod] on the Cobra and you won't have any trouble with STOCK LS1s anymore.
Those mods will make it about even in the 1/4 but after the 1/4 bye, bye Cobra!
Whatever you say CodySS,I mean 6.0,whatever you say.Got sick of getting killed by GTs in the Cavabalt did you[8D]Admittedly the car only runs about 120mph in 4th,7k rpms, but up to that point I've got/have had STOCK LS1s,do I need to say STOCK LS1 again?

Hmmmm, I only lost to one GT and it had 298rwhp.

Oh by the way GT's are ***** slow..........
