Welcome aboard. we love to have a buncha Chevy guys here to claim bull**** when we beat a stock LT1. Naw, they are really good guys. But anyways, have fun, and try not to jump on some of the guys here just cuz you dont like what they are sayin. You will be surprised what some of these kids will come up with.
And damnit if you all wont understand that the Camaro is year for year faster. Im a mustang guy til death, but im really tired of hearing this arguing everyday somewhere on this forum.

I guess I joined here because you guys have a much more lively chat on racing than at the Formula site and it seems some of you need some education in the Firebird sector. I have always admired Mustangs though. I own a 1993 Dark green firebird Formula, LT1, very few mods, just raced a 99+ Cobra the other day, black manual, really nice looking, we raced from a dead stop to about 65, had him till 45 when he crept up on me, my front bumper was on his rear bumper by about 65 when we shut it down (not that it matters because it was a fair race but I had put 150 lbs of salt in my trunk for winter driving earlier in the week). Thought I did alright against a Cobra, guy was really nice, it was actually civil unlike some ricer races. Well, I hope I'm excepted here even though I'm one of the 'enemy'.

J/K.[8D] had to get it outta da way... you'll find lots of fellow LS1/LT1 maggots on here conducting school for the misinformed/ignorant. Most are pretty good maggots though, I've come to realize.
I'm one of the local FFBs (Ford Fan Boys). Sounds like you have a pretty nice elty as eltys go...nice death to a fairly fast cobra. I'm sure you'll be accepted here.

i thought it was pretty funny. Last night i was watching who wants to be a millionare and this guy is on the 250,000 dollar question. Regis looks at him and said "what are you going to do if you win the big bucks" The kid looks at regis and says "I've always wanted a mustang. I don't know why but, i've always dreamed of owning one. So i'm gonna get a mustang". I thought that was pretty cool. Considering that he has enough money to get a C6 Z06 or a Ford GT or something.

LOL, ahh, this is going to be fun I can just tell. Might as well keep this on subject, this ones a positive story (for me at least), I was on my way home from work with my dad's car (1997 Trans Am Convertible with the WS6, which means 305 horse power, auto unfortunatly) stopped at a light with this car next to me, didn't even bother to look, from a glance looked like a brick on the road. Light turns green, this mustang (1997, looked like, white convertible GT) launches out about half a car length before I realize whats going on, so I punch it and its like he's standing still. Roads are kinda wet so I spin a lot going into second, still beat him by, idk how many car lengths, plenty though. At the next light he gives me a thumbs up and he turns left. Pretty satifying

id like to step in at this point and remind everyone that while we DO allow people with all makes (obviously) we do not allow nonner owners to pointlessly bash mustangs...stanger, that means you.
also, while we understand that some mustang owners dont like the fact that we allow people with faster, non-mustangs, to post on the site, dont be ****** to them just for the sake of being ******.

I never said anything that wasn't true. I have owned an LT1, a 5.0 (modded to hell) and my LS1 Ws.6. I have lots of mustang AND Ls1 friends and am a former ford dealership employee and I can tell you from firsthand experience from working with and playing with cars involved that the mustang is inferior from a performance standpoint in stock form. It was not DESIGNED to be superior but rather to be more versitile/driver friendly.
