I agree chevy gets the vette to do 11's by shifting full throttle no clutch, Knowone in their right mind would do that to their own car. I have seen new vipers and z06's and my local dragstrip and most only get high twevles I have not seen a z06 get into the 11's.
You need to quite watching Fast and Furious, people don't shift with no clutch. MANY MANY C6 ZO6 drivers have been into the 11's and have not to beat the crap out of thier cars to do so. Hell when Ranger went high 10's with just dr's he only power shifted 1-2 and 3-4.

That came from a magazine article from one of the first test, I wish I could remember which, but they could not get the times that chevy reported and had a chevy test driver come out and witnessed exactly what I said in the post, they said it did the times but that if it were their car they would not drive it like that, Bone stock.

One thing that many people do not know is that some magazines use a standard launch procedure, meaning that all cars are launched at say, 2500 rpm, whether it's a Viper or Civic they are testing. Not only that but they do not powershift. The key to getting good times out of a car is the launch (duh) AND not being afraid to break the car. Why did I run consistant 12.5's whrn all I had was a lid maf and dr's? Because I drive the car like I don't care if I break it. I don't want to break it, but if I do it's no biggie, it's just part of the game.
see i don't know about cars like you do. If i break something i really can't fix it myself. I'm sure i could learn but, unfornately i've chose my road in life and it wasn't a mechanic. So if i break something i have to pay someone to fix it which could get costly and i don't have that kind of money.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I could've sworn he said he only powershifted the 3-4.

You, as long as you're not a horrible driver, should be capable of low 13s. Just launch gently and powershift the hell out of it.
