destroyed the spider gears in my rear so i decided to upgrade it. got a ford racing trak lok differential, and ford racing 4.10 gears. the car is a 5spd and had 3.27 gears in it and i was running 14.4-14.5 in the 1/4 mile. with the new gears should i be in the 13s?

 

5 tenths by going up less than a point? No.

 

4.10s + D.Rs might get you a 13.9,but only if you can get the most out of it in terms of driving.

 

yea, ive been hearing all sorts of things. the shop i have my car in said if i can get the car to hook i should have no problem hitting a 13.7-13.8 but since im on street tires to expect a 14.0 after i get my programmer, cold air intake, 75mm TB, and pullies im hoping to do about a 13.5 hopefully.

I have a 5spd with 3.27 and have ran 14.2's at 98mph with 4.10's and drag radials you shoukld be able to get into the 13's, I have only ever raced on street tires I think I could get mine into the 13's if I went DR's. My 60ft suck 2.2 is the best I can get.

 

yea but my car is a 98 with the non PI motor and the only mods i have now are bassani x-pipe with no cats, flowmaster catback, ford racing trak lok lsd, and ford racing 4.10 gears.
