What's the deal with people braging about beating a honda? Friday night i went to the local race hotspot, all i seen were sissy little imports. I find it a waste of time to race any import, why brag about beating something that has less motor? I only race cars that has the reputation to be the fastest. so plz answere these questions

 

ummm not all imports are slow. wouldnt BMW's , EVO's STi's,Ferrari's, lambo's etc be considered as 'Imports'

 

yeah, but if you make them drag race you they're done. That's what i do with my truck.With the t/a drifting is the key.

 

Ya i agree with "the black widow", have u ever raced an STI or EVO, if not try it, i got burnt by one they aint nothin to mess with unless u got some really good mods on your car. Im not a big fan of imports either, but u got to give a little respect to them, 300HP on a turbo 4cyl. Theres pretty impressive technology in those cars.

 

ummm, your T/A is an import. So I guess I am kinda lost in some of your wording.
I actually think that in a way Honda's are less "imports" than your car.

Honda= parts made mainly in Japan, shipped here and the completion of the assembly is done here.
GM (F-bodies)= parts mainly made in USA, shipped to Canada, built in Canada, then shipped here.

Who is the import? Funny stuff.

 

and alot of mustangs, save the svts, were/are made in canada, whats your point.

I think it is funny stuff. I am showing the gray area which is unclear to many.

 

idk bout yall but around here we catagorize cars by three types: domestic, import then exotic...now domestics are the american companies (ford, GMC, mopar etc), imports are (honda, toyota, nissan etc) and exotics are your ferrari's, lambos and even vipers that you wouldnt see let alone race without some extensive mods
Calling something an import is more generic to foreign car markets that make low budget cars right on up to about a $50K line...
I personally dont care what it is im racing, as long as its a good race, i think people brag about hondas cause you know a honda driver will run around celebrating when he takes down a domestic cars...its just a way to run ones mouth...anyone who's been to a track knows how things really are, not many imports will race u at the track unless they know your time

 

hmm... My Civic says all parts and assembly were done in the US.

And... Fords now have 40% of their parts from Canada...

 

So you wouldnt race my buddy's 240 because its a poor little rwd import? you wouldnt waste the gas to get waxed by his 12 second nissan?

Not all imports are slow. My friends WRX is no slouch at all, of course the 240, another guy with a 300zxTT, my other friend with a 500+ rwhp M3... Im sure that they would all be a waste of gas for you, considering on a few of these you would see nothing but tail lights from a dig or roll.

So why would we brag about beating a car with the smaller motor? Same reason a TA/ 'Maro brags about beating a stang... Because stock it may be nowhere near as fast (speaking new edge and back), but you never know when one might just absolutely own the living **** out of you.
