ORIGINAL: king racer

What you offer the guy? I'm looking for a fast modern muscle car for a desent price. Any ideas?
then why are you looking at SN95s...

98ls1 is right, but i think that it will put you out of your 8500 price range...

however, youll actually have a fast car...

If it's really a Cobra then the tranny has been swapped.

Can you actualy see the car? I can tell you easy way's to tell the difference (seeing how I had a 97 cobra.. lol).

The motor should look similar to that unless he's done some MAJOR modifications to the top end.. there is no plenum on a cobra, just a dual fin TB.

The valve covers should be gray/silverish. GT's were never that color. It should have SVT badges with signatures on the left (passenger) valve cover as well.

Look for white 160mph face gauges, steering wheel should say cobra instead of mustang, rear bumper will say cobra, and of course the hood will look different and it will have round foglights in the bumper (I can post pics of anything you want to see).

The SN Cobra's arent bad at all.. if you can drive you can get high 13's with good tires.

A 96-98 GT is the slowest modern mustang made. An automatic 96 convertable would be lucky to run a 15 second flat 1/4 mile..

If your looking for cheap performance from a mustang, get a 92 and back notchback fox body... Avoid the 94-98 body style unless its a cobra. 99+ is fine if you can get one cheap.

that only proves that a 94 TA can run 13s...not a stock 94 TA...there is no way of knowing for sure that it is stock.

Dude! I got my 93 formy for like $4200, thats a screamin' deal, especially for those miles, screw the fake cobra, you could kill that car in that TA, then come over to the darkside, I mean, F-body forums.
