stock C code and 2.80's...he could well get you off the line. But put your foot down at 50 and see you later!!!

Why dont you borrow a set of 4.11's, fry his rice for him and then drop your gear set back in...sometimes Mr Nismo/Dismo/Kenwood/Garfield jest needs to be learnt a lesson

Wanna buy a Stealth? I don't have a spare carb, though. It'll really help you out. I do have a set of 3.25 gears in a carrier ready to go (many miles, but they work without noise).

BTW, I hate to say this, but tha 4-banger can probably take you off the line and hold on for a while. He'll most likely do the blinker thing as soon as he takes the lead...you will catch and pass him, but you'd want a 1/4 mile strip.

Yeah, His car is a stock 4 banger with a walmart wing on the back. My car is competely stock C code 289 with c4 and 2.80 gears in the rear. its pretty slow. It runs 0-60 in 10 seconds and i've hit around 110-115 red line. I do have GT exhaust and a upgraded ignition system. Your right Dcohen, my car is much classier then his. I get looks everyday when i drive it. Im sure everyone looks at his car everyday too. I have shown him what the old stangs can do once. he was behind me at a stop sign, and he revved up his fart can. I revved mine up, and took off spinning tires. I laughed, and told my friend, i'd like to see him do that.

Sorry guys but I'l tell you that I have seen 4's take on 6 and some 8's at the track. Power to weight ratio wins all the time (with traction). So if your buddy has a light car and your a sleep at the wheel then he wins. But if you lose, you lose with style..

When I was in highschool many moons ago, I had a Datsun 200SX (last year before Nission took Datson over). It was far from a sports car but had a peppy 4 banger and a 5 spd and I embarrased a few V8 owners. Plus if your car isnt tuned very well or just tired, he might exploit it.

nissan didnt take datsun over. datsun was the name the company used to make war planes under and after pearl habor there were hard feelings even yrs later and felt it was a good idea to get rid of the name

Yeah...they thought Datsun sounded less Japanese than Nissan in hopes of selling us their cars. Good thing there were a lot of dumb Americans (still a lot of 'em...thankfully there are some smart ones still around) to think Datsun was American. That, or no one really cared and just liked the cars.

Really, why even bother with that loser.

Big deal if he's faster or not.

I've been challenged by young bucks too, and I always say that my thing is to style and profile, not race, let them waste their tranny, I have places to c r u i s e.

now there is something really funny that you or me or anyone doesnt really relieze.......

now all these imports have wings on them right....?

ok so what is the purpose of a wing....blah blah blah yea we know force the back end down for traction so the back wheels dont spin out......

so why are they on cars that are front wheel drive.....[sm=dontgetit.gif]

Speaking of those wings, i was down in georgia, just out side of atlanta and i saw a forest green - mid 90's camaro that had the flat rear spoiler thing those came with.... and the (_|_)hole bolted one of those rice burner wings ON TOP of the rear spoler... its was like a foot above the roof! lmao... oh and of course it had the pissed off lawn mower sounding exhaust
