I know most of you dont like racing, however, i have a question. There is a punk at my school, who thinks his stock early 90's model honda accord will beat my mustang. It's a 4 cylinder. I just want to know what you think of that race, bUT IM NOT RACING. promise.

 

if you're a v8 go and bitch him but if you're a sixer go put some sugar in his gas tank. damn fart cans make em think they're quick, huh?

 

even if he could beat you, which he cant, your car has class. Anybody can drive a honda, not everyone has an oldschool mustang [8D]

 

also depends what he has in it. ill give props to imports if their fast but not if they start putting damn stickers everywhere and bookself wings. i know u have an eight and ud smoke his *** assuming he's like every other ricer out their. at most he'll have is 6 in the accord (the 6's werent that much powerful ne way) a CAI and some pretty colors in the engine bay but nothin much

ok nm u said it was a 4....wait till he gets half way down the 1/4 mile and punch it and smile as u pass him at the finish

youll beat him, hypothetically speaking ive smoked millions of 4 bangers out there (excluding EVOs and STis) but when you start talking new v6 stang, thats when you gotta worry.

 

Yeah, His car is a stock 4 banger with a walmart wing on the back. My car is competely stock C code 289 with c4 and 2.80 gears in the rear. its pretty slow. It runs 0-60 in 10 seconds and i've hit around 110-115 red line. I do have GT exhaust and a upgraded ignition system. Your right Dcohen, my car is much classier then his. I get looks everyday when i drive it. Im sure everyone looks at his car everyday too. I have shown him what the old stangs can do once. he was behind me at a stop sign, and he revved up his fart can. I revved mine up, and took off spinning tires. I laughed, and told my friend, i'd like to see him do that.

 

If he can beat V8s, send him my way and tell him to bring cash. I like Jacksons and Grants in multiple stacks of ten...


If you have a 2 barrel then he has a chance, even stock. But why bother racing? Does he have some sort of inferiority complex because his mommy bought him a honda and you have a Mustang? if he thinks its really fast, then all he needs is an education, if he is just messing with you that means he is either an idiot, or jealous because he is stuck in a honda.

 

Sorry guys but I'l tell you that I have seen 4's take on 6 and some 8's at the track. Power to weight ratio wins all the time (with traction). So if your buddy has a light car and your a sleep at the wheel then he wins. But if you lose, you lose with style..

When I was in highschool many moons ago, I had a Datsun 200SX (last year before Nission took Datson over). It was far from a sports car but had a peppy 4 banger and a 5 spd and I embarrased a few V8 owners. Plus if your car isnt tuned very well or just tired, he might exploit it.

 

Make him pop his hood to make sure it's stock. He may have a turbo conversion hiding under there. My son's 90 240sx (sr20det) runs high 11's low 12's at 120+ mph, no juice just turbo in street trim. If he asks to run for money, don't do it. And btw, if you decide the run him, do it at the track!!!!
