Raced a buddy of mine.

He has a 2003 Dodge Neon 2.0L with a SRT-4 turbo set up, 3" Exhaust, Intercooler, and alot of other goodies.

He recently detonated his car, and blew his built bottom end to ****. So he is on stock once again. He was previously boostin 18 PSI, but I only raced him on 8 PSI.

His car has no AC, Power Steering, Interior (Besides 2 seats), and its basically gutted to the max.

We started at a 40MPH roll. He brake boosted, and just took off with out warning. No beep or nothing. I reeled him in 2nd, and blew him away in 3rd.

When the motor was built that car would of killed me. Although my old car (SRT-4) killed him previously when he was built .

 

1. its pathetic that the car, boosted, couldnt beat you...i would burn my car if i went to the trouble that he did and i went out and lost to a 14 second car.

2. its pathetic that he "built" a turbo motor that wouldnt handle 18psi...the STOCK srt4 motor would handle that and more...

 

damn a gutted neon, does it get picked up in by the wind like a leaf?

 

Umm he has a 2.0 not a 2.4, and he is on stock bottom end since he detonated it.

 

The car is ridiculously light. It was a high 12 second car with DR's when it was running 18PSI. I believe it was only making around 235WHP too.
