I dont think it was a good kill. But it was still a kill.

There are no STOCK trucks that are fast, unless they are meant to be fast (if that makes any sense) AKA Lightning, SRT-10.. etc..

good kill..they try to make those things with speed. kinna like a lightning. good kill. as stated above, a kill is a kill

You really don't think they TRIED to make lightnings with speed do you? I bet a stock lightning would give you a run for your money.

hemi ram is not in the same category...not even nearly the same category as a lightening...not on the same field, same league, not even playing the same sport...SRT-10 regular cab though.....mmmmmmmmmmmm

+1 Lightnings are decently quick stock and can be made very fast for cheap just like a term cobra...or pretty much any factory FI vehicle. Also i'd say that the hemi ram kill is a good kill...mainly because those guys **** me off all the time with the constant revs thinking they're fast. My old TBI 350 slowly walked a quad cab hemi and let me tell ya my old silvy was a dog past 1st gear.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a good kill.I don't know what they run,but I would guess a single cab SWB Hemi "should" be somewhere in the high 14s low 15s.
Man I have to say I don't think its gonna touch anything in the 14s. My G/Fs 02 sierra 5.3L will hang with em, and that thing gets put away by V6 mustangs etc.

Yeah, stockish small block pickups arent really a threat. There is a guy at firebird with intake, exhaust, and DRs that runs mid to high 15s. Ouch.

I think it's legit ^_^ Dude probably just wanted to see what you had, or maybe he thinks his truck was faster than it really is. Either way, you answered the challenge. Any pics of your whip?

I really dont see how a 5.3L GMC is gonna keep up with a Hemi powered Ram, unless the ram was a quad cab with 4wd. Like I stated in another post, I beat my mom when I was driving my Celica and the Celica runs low 15's in the 1/4, but I only beat her by about 1 1/2 lengths up to about 70. I honestly think a 2wd regular cab could run really low 15's stock.

I dunno, I am just speaking from what has happened.

On the way back from dropping my stang off at the shop with the 2nd busted tranny I ran into a extended cab 2WD one with my g/fs truck. Her's is the 4 door 4wd non Z71 with the auto trans and 5.3.

I am sure he would have beat me after I was in 3rd, but thru 1st and 2nd I put it on him pretty hard. Obvisouly a short cab 2wd would be faster, but my g/fs truck is deifnatly not a 15 second automobile.

Hell, I got beat by a SE-R the other day, once again after 3rd gear. That 5.3 really falls on its face in 3rd, and I mean FALLS.

For comparasion, I was able to do the same thing to a buddy with a rental truck. It was a quad cab new style (05?) F-150 2wd with the automatic. I put him away HARD off the line but he came by after I got into 3rd gear.

Put it this way. I don't see even a regular cab hemi truck beating a 99+ V6 stang...
