Default last night

Last night i was out with a friend of mine, who drives an SRT-4. Well, a guy he used to work with drives an LT1 Z28. And he doesnt do anything but talk crap about the SRT. So last night as we were elaving the mall we saw him. And he did a 180 in the parking lot and pulled out behind us to get on the interstate. We get out on the road and notice that the guy in the passenger seat of the Z is holding a video camera. So they punch it and to my suprise the SRT pulled on the Z at first, then the Z caught up. Then we had to slow down b/c of traffic in our lane, but the Z kept going. Then we caught up to him again and the the guy in the Z shut down. The Z has some mods, but im not sure what. It is loud as a son-of-a-bioatch but i think he just has straight pipes...nothing big. And i think he has gears and a shift kit. not sure. but the SRT is stock. That is the first time i have been with that guy when he raced someone. That SRT realy suprised me.

SRT-4's are pretty fast stock, especially from a roll...

THe SRT probably pulled at first because they make good power at a 45 roll because there turbo is spooled and ready to go. I think [:-]

i always laugh when i see the "his turbo is already spooled" type comments...a srt4/evo(dsm's)/sti/wrx/vw 1.8t etc.stock(ish even) turbo is about the size of a doughnut!! they spool instantly after 2.5k-3krpms...does anyone start racing at 1500rpms? didn't think so

Actually I went from an unfortunate 3 mph roll yesterday and my car bogged so damn hard, don't worry I still won

turbos are load dependent, so if you are not brake-boosting while roll racing then you are not at full boost.

My TT has a K04 turbo in it and it would lag beforethe intake modtill around 3000 rpm's.

sure it's spooled but not boosting all that much till it's got load and rpm's
