Default Nice kill but surprised

Some red Camaro with loud exhaust was Ricky racing around in traffic today, so I caught up to him. He had 2 smaller tips out of each exhaust pipe. Noisy. I followed him out to the last stoplight before the highway begins. He even slowed down so the light would surely turn red. We both take off when the light turned green and headed out on the highway. He stayed about 1 car length behind me the whole time. I don't know what he had under the hood, but I was impressed that I didn't blow him away. He turned off, so I never got to find out what he had for mods.

Why surprised? Good run, but LS1's with just a cat-back & lid have been known to trap 110-111mph @ the track.

Aftermarket airbox lid, less restrictive. Only good for about 10 hp on a stock LS1.

I was surprised, because I have a S/C and have 410rwhp. I did spin taking off, because I was pretty anxious lol. I wonder what he had for horsepower and torque

Well for us we normally dont have what you call CAI. The way our intake works is very simple. It is in a straight line from the intake manifold to the front center of the car. Here i will post a pic of my **** box showing the lid in it.

See the black box in the front on the intake system. That is the lid. Normally the car has the lid, but it is very small and has these extra chambers in the back. When we get an aftermarket lid it looks just like mine. Also the T/A's have a bigger front opening with there lids than Camaros have.
