Default Charger rt

Well my friend says he wants to race me. You think a 04 gt 5 spd could beat a stock charger rt auto?

You should be able to take him, but it'll be close. Motor Trend had the auto at 5.6 to 60, 14.2 in the quarter.

You'll beat him pretty easily. I raced one at the track in the 1/4 mile and he only ran a 15.015 @93.80. The driver was a littel heavy set, but the other guy driving the car (they were alternating) told me that his best in it was a 14.8 or so IIRC. You'll take him no problem, just take it easy off the launch.

I roasted one on the highway in a thread on the front page called the dual of the yellow/black american v8s. they are quick, but not fast.

Both cars typically run about 14 flat, give or take. It could go either way.
15.0 @ 93 is not typical.

You will most likely take him.
Since this is a planned race and not a spur of the moment thing, any chance of a video?

I would greatly appreciate any evidence of a stock charger (non-srt8) running better than 14.2, much less 14 flat. They are mid-14 cars at best in the times I've seen them, and can't hold their own worth crap against even a stock s197. They have the power, but weigh 4100lb...and run around 6.0 0-60 IIRC.

I don't mean to bash chargers or anything but they are pigs... Have power, but heavy and slow for the power that they can produce!

Oh my god, I was a tenth off! It is totally slow at 14.1 @ 100.
That trap speed shows that the launch was obviously less than ideal.
