now guys i havent been on in a while being that i sold my 99 mustang gt and bought a 06 dodge charger daytona. now i must admit, I REALLY REALLY MISS MY MUSTANG. I have a daughter now so i needed the four doors. i was still torn between the mustang and the charger. now... i had some little things done to my mustang and i must admit that from a stop my mustang wouldve killed my charger. if it was a 1/4 mile race it would be close but i think my mustang may have gotten it. Now that being said, any thing over a 1/4 mile and my mustang wouldve had its *** handed to it. the charger daytona really is a unbelievable car from around 60 to 140mph. being that it is a heavy car, the take off on the charger is ****. The one thing i miss is the performance upgrades available to the mustang. The charger doesnt even offer different gears. and its only manual. the auto stick is ok but its no stick If i didnt have a 1yr old daughter i wouldve gotten the 06 mustang gt. But i do and the 06 charger daytona is definetly a close competitive. it allows me to have fun when im by myself but also to transport the wife, daughter, and a trunk full of stuff and with four doors. So for a family man the chargers would be the best option, but for a single man the mustang would be better in my opinion. Believe me when i say that i have killed some mustangs, firebirds, and others. But... it wasnt on a track and it wasnt doing a 1/4 mile run. it was more than that and i've would kill most over the 1/4 because once i reach 3 if you're not in front of me, you wont be.. And those have all been races from a stop light. From a roll of 30mph or more most wouldnt have a chance. Now im saying this being a true mustang man at heart and when i get the funds back up i plan on getting another 99/04 mustang gt because i really really miss em. Now for the 05 and up mustangs, i have no idea because i cant seem to find one to race. so if ur a family man that needs a family car, the charger daytona is definetly an option but no performance upgrades. If ur still young, dum, and full of umm.. just joking. if ur not planning on kids yet i would definetly go with the mustang because the performance options are unbelievable and you can do so much and be faster than anything. AT HEART AND BEHIND MY WIFE, I BLEED MUSTANG. AND FOR THE RECORD MY DAYTONA IS TOTALLY STOCK EXCEPT THE CHILD SEAT IN THE BACK
