Ok this took place as i was driving home from work. It seems all my race's are coming from when i drive home from work, im now trying to take my stang everyday just incase. Ok... im crusing along doing about 50 or so, when i see a red truck coming up fast. I didnt think much of it just some dude driving fast i thought. But then he pulled up beside me. I didnt look over at first but then im thinking to my self damn that sounds kind of beafy for a truck. So i look over and see that nice little emblem that says LIGHTNING. So i at the guy and he keeps looking at me so im like sh@#. Im thinking damn this dude is gonna hurt my feelings by whooping my A$$. But I try to never back down from a race no matter if I think i'm gonna lose. So while looking at each other he nods and smiles and i nod back but first, i start to slow down. Put the car right at a good 2nd gear hit so were going pretty slow. but there wasnt much traffic behind us and nothing in front of us so i thought it was fine. Plus the people behind us didnt honk or anything cause i think they knew what we about to do. so here we are rolling so i put it in 2nd and GO! I tried to feather the clutch so i wouldnt start to burn out and lose the race. he jumped out about a half a car in front but i was coming up quick as soon as that clutch was fully out. by the time i was finished with 2nd i think i was maybe a foot or so behind his front bumper. hit 3rd perfect and started to pull like no other. I tell you i think 3rd gear is my best pulling gear. so i hit 3rd and pulled him all the way to about the back bumper. Im thinking dang things are starting to look up for me. lol. so slam into 4th and push him back about half a car length maybe more. i dont have side view mirrors so i have to look back or look in the rear view mirror. but he was back there.. i defently won..lol. but damn that thing was screaming. when i got up towards his engine i didnt even hear the exhaust anymore just that damn supercharger. well we ended up stoping at a light and he was next to me and he says "damn that things quick what the hell you got in there?!" Me. "just a little 289" i always like to say "little" gets them all mad a small block is in my car. Him "A 289!!!! well how much hp do you got" i told him i didnt know and he said again "damn a 289" me "yup" Him "well nice car man" Me "thanks". Well theres my story about a lightning. Hope you enjoy. I really got to get my car dynoed. there is just two more mods i wanna do before i get it done. but im really excited. i think im gonna suprise alot of people of how much hp im gonna get out of this thing.

dont know. i havent heard of anything like that. it would be better IMO auto's rob you of so much hp. and it dosnt take much to drive them. just point the car and stomp the gas. no fun either i think.

and just swaped to new T5
and took of the clutch fan and went to an electric.
i only have three pulleys too no A/C no power brakes no power stearing nothing. just alt and water pump. i think that pretty much it for my mods.

 

Sounds like a cool car. you need to post some pics. Look into AFR 185's, they would really wake it up some. Of course then you need more tire so you dont spin at 60mph.

 

ok i know im gonna get laughed at prob. but im being honest i have no clue to what AFR'S 185'S are. please fill me in.
