I'll skip the details and get right to it:

An RX8 and I go from a 70 mph roll to 110 and I only pull him by (barely) 1 car length. 1 @#$%ING CAR LENGTH!!!!

I went on a few RX8 boards and bolt ons seem to do even less for them then they do for us! This all comes less than a week after after handing a 350Zm6 his *** (from a dig 4 car lengths at 95)....

After talking to a friend, his thoughts were that at freeway speeds the light weight and 6 speed gearbox leveled the playing field. Any thoughts on this guys?

I believe they are low 14s cars

 

they are dogs in the lower rpms, so it was a huge benefit for him to go from a roll

Yeah, and I have a high 13 car. Last timeslip said 13.81 @ 101, if I remember correctly. I should have walked him.

Not really, I have only seen 15 and 16 second time slips from those things...

He might of had a 50 shot or someting hiding. You never know what someone is runnning unless they tell you.

 

From a roll those torque-less crap motors should do better. Once you get higher in speed it should become harder to pull away from someone.

Race him from a dig or a low roll and he will be raped so damn bad he'll got rade the car in. Ok maybe not that bad but he will get owned

 

he probably had it lightly modded and tuned. a retune on the ECU works wonders on those cars simply for the reason they run super rich, like 10.5:1 A/R ratio, from factory and it kills the power

 

I saw on one of those boards that someone took a 99+ stang GT and put a rotory in it. He got flamed by everyone because they didn't understand why he would put an engine with little torque into a car that weighed 3,200+ lbs!!! I was laughing pretty hard at that.
