Just wondering what kinda boost was the little srt running? I have the stage 2 with a few little things and pulled down one of your beloved 06 S281 Saleen's.
He pulled ahead at first but when I hit 3rd he lost the car he put on me and a few more. Yea I was spinning through first and second, Cant use more than half the peddel gotta remember. That's with 22 lbs. Later this month I'll have 26 lbs with stage 3. Just a reminder with slicks and 250 hp the SRT-4 Will run a 12.6 1/4 and a 8.1 1/8th. Those are really incredible for a car that is 20,000 new. Your GT is what? And the stage 1, 2, and 3 are dealer installed factory warrenty upgrades so that Stage 3 and your belovedCobra would have a good run with a car less than the basemodel. With the stage 3 and a few other mopar upgrades that can putyou down to a 11.7 . That is with that super beast 500 GT hu. That is dealer installed. yes. So they call those options and stock! What else are you selling? Not that I don't like the stang but forthe money the SRT has this handsdown.
I like how this particular SRT-4 owner replied to a thread about a race with random statistics about highly modified cars.

Next time I see a thread about anything beating a GT, I'll join the forums, then post what some cars can run with blowers.

Nobody was bashing, nobody was flaming, yet you join and make us all aware of what can happen when you start modding your car. Do we care? No.

Moral of my post, you dragged this thread WAY off it's original course.

It's just Amazing the amount of misinformation that's in this thread. Stock turbos running at 25psi???? The new SRT-4 kids that have shown up on this forumlately have their heads in the clouds about their own brand of cars.

That's how it is with any turbo car. I know somebody that just recently bought a 95-96 GST. I go with my friends who know him to his job to get some free food. First thing he says is "that's you Mustang?." Then he procided to tell me that he is running 22 PSI(when someone says PSI so happy you know they're noobs). he asked me to race but I declined. I was then going to accept since he was supposed to meet up at my friends house but he got out of work late.

22 PSI on the stock T25, stock fuel, and stock SMIC. His intercooler was heatsoaked like a beast, the T25 runs out of breathe around 17-18 pounds and is basically pushing nothing after that. Not only that but after around 15-16 pounds the 450s give out and the car could go into limp mode.

Moral of this long story is that kids with turbo cars often like to brag about high boost levels when it's not happening. In most cars your not going to get into 20+ pounds with the stock turbo without it being a waste of time.

My friend has a 05 Stage 1 Srt-4 with a SBR wastegate actuator. Anyways me and another friend with a GT always drives his car...because it's rather fun.. anyways I told him if he let my friend race me in it I would give him $10..he said ok...
Anyways he get on to the highway and cruise to look for cops and make sure no other cars are aroundthen come back and go from a 10mph roll(want to be fair considering he doesn't launch a Fwd car everyday) to about 70.I was expecting it to be even but I sayed infront of him the whole time and he said I got him by 2 1/2 to 3 cars.
Made me think alittle more of my car..
Are you talking about Alans SRT-4? If so that car is pretty quick and it is a good kill for you.

When they say 22 or 23 psi it's usally a spike that happens when you shift gears. I maxed out the stock turbo befor I upgraded and it is good for 17 PSI that's it. It would hold 17 psi to 5000RPM's then drop off to 15psi by redline. Stock internals good for 700hp, lololol thats good to know. The engine is pretty stout for what it is. I've heard their good to around 500Hp before they have issues. It's the clutch and the axles that will take a sh*t first. I've already destroyed the stock clutch on my car and I've seen at least3 different SRT-4's break axles at the track. usally doing a burnout[:@]or on the launch.

I know about the spike I had a dsm before. This kid was talking about he had it set at 22 pounds. I don't know for sure though. I'll ask him what exactly are all his mods if any[&:]

The car ran at 12 pounds(stock) but I saw it creep to about 14 in the shifts sometimes.

I have the bigger stage 3 turbo and it'll hold 22 or 23 psi depending on the tempature outside and it will drop to 19 at redline. I would think it would take a huge turbo or a very well tuned stage 3 with support modsto hold 22 all the way to redline on a srt-4.

Goddamnit lol...what be all this boost talk from you then Ktown?!? Are you talking about your tires?
LOL. Dude, its basic math:
Anything x 0 = 0. Because the stang comes stock with 0 boost, he can easily double, triple, or quadruple the boost output, because, once again, anything times 0 equals 0.

Took me a while to figure out what he was saying too LOL.
