What aan idiot. He stands absolutly no chance. If you were racing him when you were completely stock, id still give you the win. Youll win by more buslengths than you can count.

Today in autos class i was making fun of this kid who brought his 1998 3000GT in to class (not sure why) because all of his rims have these huge dents in them and are all smashed up. He was like "Practice is the only way to get better" all defensive about it. He then challenged me to a race any where any time to see who the better driver is. I know its not gonna beclose and i could prolly pull a plug or two and still win. I just thought it was a funny story on how dumb some people are. His car is also totally stock but he thinks its the fastest car in the world.

Edit:geez i had a lot of mistakes
is it a vr-4? (or whatever they call it) the twin turbo AWD

wow some of you guys make ignorant comments. its a 98 right. base model 96-99 have 181hp SOHC, SL's have 218hp DOHC. Both are really nice and comfortable cars and can be peppy but they are not fast at all. A vr-4 has 300hp(91-93) and 320(94+) the only difference is a rubber stopper in the wastegate selenoid that restrics it from putting out more than 8.7psi. The second gens(94+) put out 12psi.
You should wax him. A vr-4 with a ****ty driver will smoke you. He will gain 1.5 lengths in first gear alone. And there gears are ****ing long. 40mph in 1st. 80 in second. 120-125 in 3rd. O and from a roll, turbo lag isnt really a problem. The stock turbos(9b's) arent any bigger then hairdryers and spool up at 2grand fyi.

edit: o and as far as ET's go. Stock at 12psi, they run mid to low 13's all day long. When my car was stock other then intake and a manual boost controller set at 14psi, it ran a 12.8. So you're mag times are a bit off.

i just dont like seing ignorant people making stupid comments. That kind of thing is what gives certain cars a bad rep. I already said that you would smoke him because its probably the SOHC model and they are slower than civics. Basically all show and no go. Even the DOHC model is kinda slow. Probably be a good race agains a late model mustang(non GT).
