I was on my way home from work a couple of days ago when a newer porsche carrera 4 pulled up next to me on the highway, we are both going about 70. He looks over at me smiles and romps on it for just a second. I was a little reluctant to race because traffic was light but still a good bit of people on the highway. I exited to another highway that didnt have many people on it and we lined up side by side and hit it from a 35 roll. we were pretty even for a bit then I started pulling on him and we shut down at about 125 and i was up by a little over a car length. It made me feel good to beat a $90k car. just thought i would share this with you guys, i hardly ever come across a porsche with a drive willing to race, much less one that provoked it.

just a reg carr 4? arnt they like 350ish hp...you have a modd cobra; sure it wasnt a TT?

 

A Carrera is a mid 12 second car, so it sounds about right. Pullied Cobra's are low to mid 12's. If it was a Turbo 911 he would have been raped...

yea most of the high end cars are driven by old farts so i felt rather privileged he wanted a piece. the porsche is like a go cart and that 350 hp goes a long way. like c6 vette said they are in the 12s. The 911 turbos, oh yea i would have been raped, that damn go cart will fly.

I had a quick run with a Carrera4 tonight....Just a race on a fwy offramp. Two lanes and we were side by side. The curve speed limit was 35 and we did 70.....I know the Carrera does slightly better on curves but itfelt good my plastic bowtie hung with it...
